How to Download Error Logs in Plesk

Quick tip that I want to keep for future reference: where/how to download the error logs for a site in Plesk. Normally in Plesk, to view a site’s error (and access) logs, you visit the Logs screen and select whichever logs, which then are displayed within the web page. So you can view all the log information within the Plesk UI. In general, the log viewer in Plesk works great and is configurable, etc. Continue reading »

Why Automated Phone Systems SUCK

You’ve been there. You know what I’m talking about. Why do companies insist on making our lives difficult by implementing horrible automated phone systems? Continue reading »

Wishlist for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom DLC

A couple of years before it was released, I shared my wish list for Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (aka BotW 2). The list included all sorts of things that I wanted to see in Tears of the Kingdom. Fast-forward to the much anticipated May 2023 release of Tears of the Kingdom — I was overjoyed to find that most of my “wishes” came true. Apparently somebody at Nintendo is listening to user feedback, as the new game […] Continue reading »

There is No Operator

I’ve posted before lamenting the absolute pathetic state of big company phone support. Here is a transcript of a recent phone call with a big bank, trying to speak to a representative, but getting the run-around from their crappy telephone system. This was an extremely frustrating experience.. perhaps you can relate? Continue reading »

My Wish List for Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

As a teenager, I played the original Legend of Zelda game when it launched on the first Nintendo console (NES). Back then, us neighborhood kids had a blast playing that game for hours on end. Fast-forward to adulthood, it’s a joy watching my own kids play the various sequels: Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and to some degree, Skyward Sword. Beyond watching my kids play, I didn’t really get into playing any of the Zelda sequels. […] Continue reading »

Best Date Format: Year Month Day

Arguably the most common way to express a date is to include the day of the month, the month, and the year. And there are many ways to order that information. For example, day, month, year, like 20/11/2020. Or perhaps a more common example is month, day, year, like 12/30/2024. Any programmer will tell you that there are endless variations and possibilities. With the scripting language PHP for example, there are many ways to format a date. So it begs […] Continue reading »

Customer Anti-Support

Email support can be great or it can suck horribly. It’s a spectrum. For my own products and services, my average email response time is around 1 hour in general, and 5 minutes if I am online. Seriously, I am right there ready and glad to help anyone who needs it. Contrast that strategy to what seems to be the typical email support response time of an entire day or much longer. It’s just crazy to have to wait that […] Continue reading »

Have You Seen Endgame?

Here is an off-topic question for readers: Have you seen the documentary called “Endgame”, and if so, what do you think about it? Is it real or just another game? Here is a link to the video on YouTube. Continue reading »

Local Paper Tarnishes Small Town

“Front-page story attacks city!” Central Washington — The Columbia Basin Herald continues to describe Quincy as “stampeded by gang members, teeming with teenage pregnancies, constant shootings, stabbings, drugs and excessive consumption of booze.” They printed the story — believe it or not — on the front page. Quote: “Quincy is also known as ‘Q-town,’” the Columbia Basin Herald, a regional newspaper, claims. “It is overpopulated by gang members and individuals of hispanic decent who often believe they are of african […] Continue reading »

Digging the Ditch Witch

Ditch Witch, I think I love you.. On my never-ending quest for fresh graphical chunks, many a ridiculous warning sticker have caught my eye. Upon encountering such gems, I immediately slip into stealth mode and plan for attack. Once the stage is set and the time is prime, I move in for the kill — another ripe chunk cold plucked from the vine. Of course, only the nonsensical, pointless, redundant or otherwise ridiculous labels are snatched from existence — anything […] Continue reading »

I disabled AI in Google search results. It was making me lazy.
Went out walking today and soaked up some sunshine. It felt good.
I have an original box/packaging for 2010 iMac if anyone wants it free let me know.
Always ask AI to cite its sources. Also: “The Web” is not a valid answer.
All free plugins updated and ready for WP 6.6 dropping next week. Pro plugin updates in the works also complete :)
99% of video thumbnail/previews are pure cringe. Goofy faces = Clickbait.
