I’ve always liked the idea of having an “Asides” category for links, notes, and other miscellaneous debris. So here is the first aside post, classified in the newly established asides tag (woo-hoo!). Here are three awesome tools to optimize your workflow.

• CHMOD Calculator – Quick & easy calculation of CHMOD permissions settings for your files and directories.
• Data URI Generator – Convert images into data URLs (base64-encoded) to decrease page load time.
