Online Tools for Traceroute & Ping
Traceroute not working correctly via macOS Terminal app, which is how I’ve been doing it for years now. For some reason, the traces hang up and never complete for certain sites. After some time troubleshooting and not finding any solution, I decided to look for alternate ways of performing traceroutes and site pings. Fortunately there are tons of free tools. Here are some of the useful services and apps that I’ve found..
- Traceroute Online
- Traceroute Test
- Traceroute Online
- Dotcom-Tools Traceroute Test
- Visual Traceroute
- Traceroute to your domain
- Traceroute Command Tool
- Traceroute Online Tool
- Check MTR (Traceroute) API
- Online Traceroute Using MTR
- Free Traceroute Test
- Traceroute
- Traceroute
These are the top ones that currently work great, and without too many ads or any other weird shenanigans. Some of the tool names leave something to be desired, but hey it’s just great that there are so many free traceroute tools available.
Also, the traceroute tools listed above are all online. To run traceroutes on your local machine, check out the many traceroute apps for macOS, Win/PC, Linux, and more.
