Will Link for Screenshots

Quick announcement that I will be posting an article featuring a diverse screenshot gallery of the new design. To accomplish this, I need screenshots from as many different operating systems and browsers as possible. Currently, I have access to the following browsers:

Windows XP (Home, SP1)

  • Firefox 1.5.0 & 2.0.0
  • Opera 8.54 & 9.50
  • Internet Explorer 7.0
  • Google Chrome 0.2.149
  • Flock 0.4.9 (yeah, I know)

Mac OS X (10.4.8)

  • Firefox 3.0.1
  • Opera 9.23
  • Safari 2.0.4
  • Camino 1.0.3

Thus, I need screenshots of the Perishable Press home page on any browser/platform not listed. I am doing this not only for the sake of prosperity, but for cross-browser accuracy as well.

To participate, send your screenshot(s) along with the URL for your site. After a week or so of soliciting for screenshots, I will post the collection along with links for everyone who helped. It’s a bribe, I know, but I want those screenshots, so send ‘em in, people!

10-to-1 Jeff is no stranger to BrowserShots. :) I suspect he enjoys getting his readers involved, and I don’t blame him in the least for it!

Did you want a screenshot of the entire page, could only get that for firefox. Seems that getting screenshots of an entire window is rather difficult.

Thanks to everyone for the excellent screenshots! The response has been better than I had hoped.. Now that I am back in the office, I will be consolidating and organizing all of the different images and then putting together a gallery post here within the next few days. Thank you again, everyone!

Jeff, you’ve done a great job on the blog. The design is really strong on a Mac in both Safari and FireFox.

@Thanks for the positive feedback, and thanks also for the Paparazzi screenshot! Very nice :) Will post asap. Cheers!

Update: Check out the entire collection of screenshots via the Perishable Press Quintessential Screenshot Gallery. Thanks to your help, I now have an abundance of screenshots from which to verify cross-browser compatibility. No more screenshots are needed, unless of course you have access to something that isn’t readily available to everyone else. Otherwise, I think we’re good to go. Thanks again to everyone who helped with the screenshots — mission accomplished! ;)

More fine-grained control of macOS screen brightness: hold down Option + Shift before pressing either of the brightness keys. You get 64 increments instead of the usual 16.
