Google search results

Somehow the Google search results are less on target lately. Taking longer to find basic information.

Plesk updates

I feel like I deserve a hero badge for keeping Plesk updated to the latest version.

Inspiring details

This is an inspiring design for tutorial sites. So many cool little details. Gotta try that tty-player.

WordPress 5.5

Just upgraded Perishable Press to WP 5.5. So far so good..

Wow great support

LOL @ “weekly” support: “Your request has been received and will be reviewed soon. Neil (your support guy) checks support requests weekly. Rest assured we’ll get to it!” — Gotta be kidding with this.

BoTW

After several days of work, finally taking a break. If anyone needs me, I’ll be in Zora’s Domain, working thru Mah Eliya shrine.

Words of wisdom

Never ever call the client a useless idiot. Even if it’s true.

Feedburner alternatives

Inevitable that Google shuts down Feedburner. Maybe this year? Who knows. Here is a nice summary plus alternatives.

Marvel and wonder

There is no way that Marvel can serve up anything better than what they’ve already done with Infinity saga/Endgame. Knowhere to go but down, sadly.

Search launchpad

I built a new search launchpad to make my life easier. So I can search multiple engines quickly and easily.

Plugin Updates!

Updating all muh plugins for WP 5.5 imminent release! Wut August :)

Book updates!

Book updates complete! DigWP, .htaccess, Tao-WP, and WP Themes books all updated and current with all the latest.

Own your own

Stop giving so much juice to social media. Get a site and OWN your content.

Finder column width

I would give my left testicle for macOS Finder to remember column widths.

Longest word

The chemical name for titin (the largest known protein) has 189,819 characters and takes several hours to pronounce.

Book updates

Thoughts
I disabled AI in Google search results. It was making me lazy.
Went out walking today and soaked up some sunshine. It felt good.
I have an original box/packaging for 2010 iMac if anyone wants it free let me know.
Always ask AI to cite its sources. Also: “The Web” is not a valid answer.
All free plugins updated and ready for WP 6.6 dropping next week. Pro plugin updates in the works also complete :)
99% of video thumbnail/previews are pure cringe. Goofy faces = Clickbait.
