shapeSpace Lite WordPress Theme

[ shapeSpace Lite WordPress Theme ] Quick post to announce a new Lite version of my free shapeSpace starter theme. I develop and use shapeSpace for many of my WordPress-powered projects. The lightweight bare-bones template speeds up development by providing everything I need to create awesome themes. When it’s time to build a new site, or redesign an existing one, I download a copy of shapeSpace and I’m off to the races.

Yet even though shapeSpace is very lightweight and minimal, it still provides a lot of functionality that I just never use. So I finally took some time to remove everything but the absolute essential template code that I use for my projects. That way, I don’t have to keep removing a bunch of unused code; now I can jump right in with the fine tuning and styling, etc. The new Lite version just saves me a ton of time when building new themes.

And because I believe in sharing and open source, shapeSpace Lite is 100% free for everyone, just like the full version of shapeSpace :)

Check the theme readme.txt for license and other information.

Download

You can find the download link for the Lite version in the footer of shapeSpace.io. The download link says “Lite Version” with the word “New!” displayed next to it.

  1. Seems like a good starter theme for the LiveCanvas PageBuilder, have you tried that one out?

June, July, August historically are slow months on the Web. Perfect time to get some real work done (think projects).
Redesigning Plugin Planet is one the most challenging things I’ve done online. Almost there, about another two weeks ’til launch.
I could listen to Mouse Rat all day.
Thanks Apple for pushing out your massive 3 GB macOS updates because GarageBand. Oh, and Podcasts.
Weird bug with Affinity Designer. If images are opening upside down, click View ▸ Reset Rotation and problem solved.
Had a good laugh today when I saw this in a support email: “In observance of Arbor Day our team will be out of the office on Friday, April 30th.” Lol Arbor Day.
Just spent a few minutes scrolling thru FB, almost every ad was pushing the va×.
