Looking for High-Quality, Ad-Free Sites

[ Image: Abstract Light ] Shouts out: First of all, to everyone who reads my content on a regular basis, thank you! Things are finally rolling along quite smoothly, and I just wanted to take a moment to let you know that I truly appreciate your kind participation with Perishable Press. Whether you’re sharing code, leaving comments, or even just reading my content, it’s all very inspiring and appreciated. We have some great things planned in the near future, and look forward to sharing them with you.

Business

Currently, I have several new projects in the works. I am redesigning my business site, Monzilla Media, developing several new blogs, and reporting here as much as possible throughout the process. These projects should provide a wealth of fresh material covering everything from CSS design and PHP scripting to SEO tactics and blog monetization.

Pleasure

As you may know, Perishable Press is was 100% ad-free for several years. Update: I put up a few ads in the sidebar to help pay teh billz!</update>. Here you will find no paid clicks, no inline advertisements, no sneaky paid reviews — none of that. What you will find is a high-quality site that strives to produce worthwhile content on a regular basis. I do this for the sheer pleasure of it all, pure and simple.

The search is on..

My question to you: where are the high-quality, ad-free sites? Do you have or know of a self-supported blog that strives to produce fresh, relevant content on a regular basis? I am starting a social network of commercial-free blogs that deliver high-quality content. Web design, technology, travel, food, music, art — you name it. It would be incredible to create sort of a “intranet” of non-commercial content and resources.

If you are interested in adding your ad-free site to the future “adless” network, leave a comment or contact me directly.

Thanks!

  1. I’m working on an add-free project called VocalNation.net, that’s a social-networking/bookmarking/blogging type system for discussing socio-political issues. Check it out.

Okay, that’s one! VocalNation looks like a great a resource for sharing ideas on socio-political issues. Once we get things rolling with the adless network, VocalNation will be at the top of the list for its category.
